Move Over Styrofoam!

The taste. The brand. The packaging.
These were the three pillars of how Noodelist was going to reinvent the traditional instant noodles. Doing our best in making Better-For-You and Better-For-the-Planet instant noodle 2.0.
We have talked about the taste and the story behind the brand before but we haven’t shared our behind the scene stories on our packaging yet.
Coming from Finland - the land of a thousand forests. We knew there are biodegradable materials available. But what we didn’t know is that the raw paper material’s shelf life is only one year. Another challenge was that there weren't too many machineries that made customized shapes for small quantities. We will keep researching to find more eco-friendly alternatives as we go. Here are our current packaging materials and partners.
4-Pack Shiitake, Vegan Chicken’ish and Sample Boxes
Noodelist 4-Pack packaging are recyclable and the materials are FSC certified which is considered the "gold standard" designation for wood harvested from forests that are responsibly managed, socially beneficial, environmentally conscious, and economically viable.

The Clear Bag
The clear bags we use to pack the noodles and soup base are plant-based, eco friendly and compostable. Our clear bags are from ClearBags.com.
The Soup Base
The soup base packet is currently not as sustainable as we want it to be. But we are constantly looking for a more sustainable version that will also protect the soup base powder from light and temperature changes.
