Celine Haga - Pro MMA Fighter powered by Noodelist

Celine Haga - Pro MMA Fighter powered by Noodelist

Meet Noodelist first sport ambassador, Celine Haga. She was adopted from South Korea to a small town in Norway when she was 6 weeks old and now lives and trains in Colorado.

Celine was never active as a kid, she actually failed all her PE classes, and it was not until she was 20 years old when it all changed. She started to lift weights for health reasons and dedicated a lot of time and energy into learning about fitness and nutrition.

A guy she dated introduced her to jiu jitsu and MMA - both which at that time were unfamiliar to her, she had zero knowledge about martial arts in general. All she knew was that the strength she had was useless against the techniques he was showing her.

So Celine signed up for a few jiu jitsu lessons with the intention of trying to learn a move or two to impress the guy, but ended up falling completely in love with jiu jitsu instead. She decided that she wanted to learn everything, not just the ground game. She thought that the main reason was because it scared her, and she liked the pressure put on herself by telling people she would be an MMA fighter.

MMA, which was not/still isn't legalized in Norway made it hard to find training partners, especially women - so she decided to go to Japan to train for a few months since they were known for having a lot of female fighters. She got offered a pro fight, and even with no amateur fights under her belt, she decided to do it as a “once in a lifetime experience” type of thing, little did she know back then that it would be the beginning of a continuing journey of Martial Arts.

Fan of Noodles

Ever since she can remember she has been a big fan of ramen noodles, its quick and convenient and delicious, but unfortunately most ramen noodles are fried with a low nutritional profile.

Being a pro athlete does require a healthy diet for maximum recovery and performance, and Noodelist makes it possible for her to enjoy childhood treat and still be healthy. She usually enjoys Noodelist right after practice, since the broth provides the sodium she needs and the noodles got a good balance between carbs and proteins. She is also a big fan of using the
noodles in stir fry with veggies and chicken, and uses the broth as a seasoning.

Her moment of instant happiness is waking up 6 am and feeling ready to start the day: "Knowing that I'm gonna get the opportunity to do what I love with people I love."

Noodelist is happy to partner with such a Bold & Brave MMA fighter like Celine Haga.
