We realized that November 19th was not only the Women's Entrepreneurship Day but also International Men's Day. Since we celebrated the International Women's Day in March 8th, we want to celebrate Men as well.

In honor of IMD (International Men's Day, celebrated since 1992), Noodelist would like to give a shout out to all the men out there! I got the first angel checks from a group of Very Supportive Male Investors. Noodelist would not be where it is today without many amazing men in my life (and yes, there are women involved too - but we're highlighting men in this post).

"My Dad and I used to share the same cravings for instant noodles. I remember all those late nights when I felt like having a bowl of noodles at my parents place in Finland. Dad would always save for me my favorite instant noodle brand which I haven’t found in the U.S. Dad was like the Silicon Valley mindset. He helped an enormous amount of people and never bragged about it or expected anything back. He helped because he could and wanted without thinking about what he is getting out of it. Dad also gave me the crazy courage I have embraced. He once said to fellow Asian uncles: “If my daughter is stucked in a cage with a tiger. I would bet on her. She always finds her way out.” That’s my Rockstar Dad.”

I also want to give a special shout-out to my three Uncles in Finland. Without their courage to leave Vietnam for a better future, and cross the dangerous ocean to come to Finland, I wouldn’t be here crossing milestones. To my Brother who has made me an Auntie to my two gentlemen nephews, Kevin & Alex.

To my first angel investors who all believed in me and gave me courage to take the leap towards my entrepreneurship journey.

Last but not least, my husband Jouni. Without his continuous and unselfish support - I wouldn't be noodling on Noodelist now. Oh, and I have to mention my furry friend, Nalle, the labradoodle :)
